Call Committee Update 12/12/09

On Sunday, October 11, 2009, the following persons were elected to serve on the Call Committee:

Bruce Baartman
Cary Radisewitz

An update from the Call Committee:

The call committee has been meeting at least once a week since the
start of November. We have been educating ourselves on the call
process and developing plans for how the process will proceed here
at Grace.

On Sunday, November 29, we met with Pastor Jeff Engholm from
the Synod office and he presented us with six names and candidate
profiles for our lead pastor position. From these six candidates, we
identified three candidates that best fit the needs and expectations
of our congregation for a lead pastor at this time.

We have conducted one interview this past week and have two more
interviews scheduled in the week ahead. After the completion of this
first round of interviews, we will determine a plan for a site visit and
a second interview with any candidates we are still interested in
pursuing for the lead pastor position.

We feel blessed that the process is moving along and is going very
well so far. We ask that you continue to keep the call committee,
our candidates, and our congregation in your prayers as we
continue this exciting process. If you would like to post questions
