Evangelism
Evangelism Ministry is charged with responsibility for encouraging a climate of hospitality in the congregation; providing training for greeters, ushers, and others who come in contact with guests; providing a system for identifying, welcoming, and following up on visitors and prospective members who attend worship service; providing a system for identifying and contacting nonmembers who regularly participate in the life of the congregation; providing opportunities for guests and new members to be introduced to the Christian faith; enlisting and training members of the congregation to serve as sponsors for new members; planning and promoting special events designed for the surrounding communities; identifying persons in the community who should be targeted for outreach efforts; develop ways for the work of the congregation to be regularly advertised and promoted in the community; educating, encouraging and providing tools to help members invite friends, relatives and acquaintances to worship with them; reviewing for approval applications for confirmed membership.
