GRACE LUTHERAN CHURCH ENDOWMENT FUND
Luverne, Minnesota 56156
507-283-4431
The Grace Lutheran Church Endowment Fund was established in 1988 so members and friends of Grace Lutheran could support for decades to come the programs and ministries of the church, both locally and on a broader scope, above and beyond the normal congregational general budget. All undesignated memorials given to the congregation of $5,000 or more are added to the principal of the Endowment Fund. Contributions of any amount may be designated as gifts or memorials to the Fund.
The congregation elects five members to serve on a committee to oversee this Fund. The current members are Marybeth Binford, Elaine Hansen, Janice Nelson, Damon Eisma and Tom Skattum. The pastors also serve on the Endowment Committee ex officio. This committee meets the first Thursday of the even number months throughout the year.
Fund disbursements over the years have given support for world hunger relief, education enrichment for the congregation and its community, missionaries, seminary students’ support and disaster relief.
When making estate planning decisions (trusts, wills, etc.) or year-end gifts, please consider the Grace Lutheran Endowment Fund. Your gift will have a long-lasting, perpetual effect on the programs and mission of Grace Lutheran, the SW MN Synod and the ELCA. Click on form.
